Discord Chat Archive is a browser extension designed to export Discord channel and direct-message history to files selected by the user.

Data Processed

Depending on the features selected by the user, Discord Chat Archive may process:

Discord messages and message metadata
Discord usernames, display names, and identifiers
Attachments, embeds, reactions, and media
The currently selected Discord channel or DM URL/context
Discord authentication information when API mode is explicitly used

Authentication Information

When the user chooses API mode and uses the Auto Token Fill feature, Discord Chat Archive may read the authentication token associated with the user's currently signed-in Discord session.

The authentication information is used solely to authenticate requests made directly to Discord for the export operation requested by the user.

Important: Authentication information is never sent to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.

DOM Mode

When DOM mode is used, messages are read directly from the Discord page. DOM mode does not require or access the user's Discord authentication token.

Local Processing

Discord Chat Archive does not operate a developer backend for processing Discord messages or exports.

Exported content is processed locally on the user's device.

Network Requests

The extension communicates only with Discord and Discord-owned content delivery domains when necessary to retrieve messages, attachments, embeds, avatars, or other media requested as part of an export.

Data Sharing

The developer does not sell user data.

The developer does not share user data with advertising networks, data brokers, analytics providers, or other unrelated third parties.

Advertising and Tracking

Discord Chat Archive does not use user data for advertising, behavioral profiling, tracking, credit assessment, or lending purposes.

Data Retention and Control

Extension preferences and export state may be stored locally in Chrome so the extension can provide its functionality.

Users can remove stored authentication information using the extension's Forget function.

Limited Use

The use of information handled by Discord Chat Archive complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
